There's not really a catch, it works like you'd probably expect. Whenever you buy something, you can get something free. First, add whatever item you're actually buying to your cart, then go to the Free Stuff page and add a freebie.

Hey, if you don't like it, don't pay for it. We promised it'd be free, we never said it'd be good. Keep in mind, this is stuff that gets sent to us from the manufacturers of the game as promotional stuff. Sometimes it's just a simple sticker. Other times it's a promotional game piece. Sometimes it's an entire demo kit that lets you actually play a piece of the game. And of course, sometimes it's just useless junk that the manufacturer seems to think it's cool.

Because if we gave away a bunch of free games we'd go broke. That's why we will only do that sometimes. And when we do, we'll make sure to tell you about it in our Newsletter and on our Twitter page. So if you want the really good free stuff, make sure to watch for announcements, because it's first come, first served.
