With all this talk these days about Swine Flu, you might be afraid to catch something. Well check out these viruses that you'll WANT to catch! Introducing GIANTmicrobes!  These cute plush toys are giant-sized versions of all sorts of microscopic things we all know and hate. Everything from mundane worries like the Common Cold and Bed Bugs up to the really frightening Black Plague and Anthrax! Giant Microbes come in a variety of sizes: the 5-7" standard size, mini-microbes which come 3 in a petri dish, and the 15-20" Gigantic microbe!  Each GIANTmicrobe comes with more than just a giant-sized version of a microbe. They also come with a picture of and information about the real-life microorganism that it resembles. So you can see how cute Kissing Disease really is (pictured left) compared to its plush version (picture right), and learn about what it does and how it's spread.Today we received in some of the standard size of some of the more popular microbes - like Flu and E. Alrighty then, now we have a competition, the Virus Chicks (Deb and Lynne) versus the War Ball Boys (Noah and Vern). What a challenge! This product (the Giant Microbes) looks like an amusing side bar. Think I'll buy some to take to my school ... it'll be a fun way to teach the kids about the REAL danger behind the dreaded cooties!!!
